Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/3 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 cups ripe peaches, diced
  • 1/2 cup + extra turbinado sugar (or granulated sugar)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (or dairy-free milk)
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tsp whole milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Dice the peaches.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup of turbinado sugar using a hand mixer until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in whole milk and vanilla extract. Fold in diced peaches.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  4. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan or line with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and sprinkle with additional turbinado sugar on top.
  5. Bake for approximately 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean from the center.
  6. Cool in the pan for about 3–5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
  7. For the glaze: Mix powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve desired consistency and drizzle over cooled bread.
