Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 18 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and once melted, sear the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let rest.
  3. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant (1 minute). Stir in cooked tortellini, Parmesan, and mozzarella until well combined.
  5. Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve atop cheesy tortellini with extra garlic butter sauce drizzled over.
