  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet rapid rise yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 cup organic pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup organic brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chai spice blend
  • 1/2 cup organic brown sugar, for filling
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened, for filling
  • 34 tablespoons cooled chai tea mixture (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Warm the almond milk and steep tea bags for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix warm almond milk with maple syrup and chai spice; sprinkle yeast over it and let it sit until frothy.
  3. Gradually add flour and sea salt to the mixture; knead until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl to rise for about an hour.
  5. Roll out the dough, spread softened butter, sprinkle brown sugar, and roll tightly.
  6. Slice into rolls and let them rise again for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare the glaze by mixing cream cheese with powdered sugar and chai tea; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
