  • 2 cups granulated sugar (400 g)
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (336 g)
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans (109 g)

Instructions

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a heavy-bottom saucepan, combine butter and sugar over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F and turns dark amber (about 35-45 minutes).
  3. Pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let them soften for 1-2 minutes before spreading into an even layer.
  5. Add finely chopped pecans on top of the melted chocolate, pressing gently to secure.
  6. Allow the toffee to cool at room temperature for about 1 hour until set.
  7. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
