  • 56 peaches, cut into 8 wedges
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, melt cubed butter in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until just mixed.
  3. Toss peach wedges with 1/4 cup brown sugar and maple syrup until coated.
  4. Layer half the peaches over the melted butter, pour the batter over without stirring, then top with remaining peaches.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is set.
  6. Meanwhile, make maple butter by boiling 4 tablespoons of salted butter with 1/4 cup maple syrup for about two minutes.
