  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion (just the white/light green part)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey, maple syrup, or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions in boiling water.
  2. In a saucepan, sauté chopped green onions, ginger, garlic, and oil for about 3–5 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add remaining sauce ingredients to the saucepan and whisk well; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Drain the cooked noodles and combine them with the sauce in the saucepan; let them simmer together for a few minutes.
  5. Serve hot and garnish with additional green onions or cilantro as desired.
