  • 8 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 57 tbsp water/cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 oz red Wilton candy melts
  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round baking pans.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
  4. Gradually blend in buttermilk followed by dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Melt chocolate; divide batter into two bowls—color one with black gel icing.
  6. Alternate spoonfuls of both batters into prepared pans; swirl gently for the marble effect.
